Adelabu insists, says wisdom & knowledge supersedes.
Former governor
of Oyo state and the Gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party,
Otunba Christopher Alao Akala on Friday insist that experience is the father of
wisdom as it is the bedrock and foundation for good governance.
Akala while
speaking at a governorship debate organized by BBC Yoruba claims that his
experience and impact as a former deputy governor and former governor of a
state
has brought an immense development to all sectors in the state.
Akala when
pressed on his plan for workers anxiously described his government as a “workers
friendly” one as he took the payment of monthly salary of workers as one of his
utmost priorities.
Buttressing more,
he gave a stamp to pay the proposed minimum wage bill of 30,000 naira to Oyo government
workers.
Disregarding
the condition of the educational sector in the state, Akala promises to get the
administrative control of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (lautech)
out of the state of Osun.
He said: “we
need to move the control of lautech from the state of osun state with immediate
alacrity.
In the whole
country, Oyo state seems to be the only state that have a “half university”
whereas the state of osun has its own state university. It is not done anywhere
Infact, I promised
to take lautech’s full control in my first 100 days in office.”
He as well
promises a positive changes in the treatment of tertiary institution,
unemployment, Agriculture, Security, the disables individuals and many more.

Adelabu disagree, claims his knowledge is better
In the same
development, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC),
Chief Adebayo Adelabu present at the debate codedly disagree the claim of ADP’s
Akala, who claims Experience is the best instrument for good governance.
Adelabu while
addressing the audience state that possession of knowledge, exposure, wisdom
and energy is much more better for a good governance than being a “veteran
politicians without any credit to his portfolio.”
Adelabu boasted
of his academic excellence to the Apex grade
of being a first class graduate from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ife and series of education he has got which made him qualify as
the best choice of the people in the governorship election that will hold on
the 2nd day of March.
When pressed
to speak on experience politics described: “political experience in oyo state
is not encouraging because, politicians tends to have the mind of cunningness,
greed, self-centeredness, and white lies.
We are not
here to make a promise we won’t fulfill, we are for the people, we are not
politicians”
Speaking furthermore,
He emphasized and described the present government under the platform of the
All Progressive Congress in the term of good security in the state as the ‘ever
best of its kind’ compared to its state in the past government.
Adelabu also
promise to give a progressive touch in the area of Health – care, Workers welfare,
Education and the entire sectors of his ministry if elected as the Governor of
Oyo state.
Other candidates
Present at the governorship debate are, Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin of the African
Democratic Congress (ADC), Princess Bolanle Ashabi Sarumi of the National Interest
Party (NIP). They as well made great contribution by presenting their manifesto
for the betterment of the people especially in the education, labour and Health
sector.
The debate
was anchored and moderated by Dr. Olubusola Afolayan and People from all
corners of the state give a colourable attendance to the Event.
